Before Willow B’s Rescue Farm existed, before there was a sanctuary, a nonprofit, or a mission, there was a woman trying to survive her own life. After the end of her marriage, Rose Donato didn’t just lose a relationship. She lost her sense of ground.
Willow B’s Rescue & Wellness Farm is a holistic sanctuary dedicated to healing animals, strengthening communities, and transforming lives. We blend animal rescue, wellness, nutrition education, meditation, gardening, and trauma healing into one compassionate, community-powered environment.
We envision a world where humans and animals heal alongside one another, forming bonds that inspire deeper emotional connection, healthier living, and renewed purpose. Rescue animals become powerful teachers, guiding people toward compassion, resilience, and a more meaningful, heart-centered life.
Our mission is to rescue neglected, abandoned, and unwanted animals while offering transformative wellness, education, and therapeutic experiences that uplift people of all ages. We create a compassionate sanctuary where healing, growth, and connection flourish for every being who enters our care.
Willow B. was an 8-pound terrier rescued at age 7…but the truth is, she rescued her owner more than anyone saved her.
Willow—lovingly nicknamed “Willow B, the B short for Beast”. It was a funny nickname given due to the combonation of her small 8 pound size, and her spunky fun loving, sassy personality. Willow had a heart so pure and loving it transformed every life she touched.
She brought joy, healing, comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. She had a magical ability to sense sadness and would gently lick tears from her owner’s face during the darkest moments, the moments when her owner questioned whether life was worth continuing. Willow brought her back to life.
She could sing along with people. She was a very good singer too. Of course because her DNA revealed she was 6 percent part wolf.
She made everyone smile. She was the fastest dog at the parks or beaches and super competitive. Even with her crooked eye and crooked paw she still would triumph.
She played fetch with endless determination. She would loyally bring her ball or favorite frog toy right back to you every time.
She inspired resilience, compassion, and hope. She for sure gave the best kisses sometimes she would even kiss for extended periods of time showing her love to most people around her.
Even when tired, she kept going and she taught her owner to do the same. She embodied a rare and beautiful kind of forgiveness throughout her life, a quiet grace that never wavered, no matter what she faced. Her story is a reminder that when someone walks away or casts you aside, it speaks to their own limitations, not your worth. Through her, others can find connection in moments of loneliness or abandonment, and rediscover the truth that they are still deserving of love, so deeply, fully, and without condition. Willow was so beautiful & forgiving, Her owner Rose was so very proud of her spirit and soul.
Willow recently passed away, but her legacy lives on through this rescue farm. This sanctuary is created in her honor, so her love, her lessons, and her spirit of healing can be shared with the world. We love you so much Willow. May we make you proud of us the way we were proud of you..
